Guacamole Bites

Guacamole is one of my all-time favorite appetizers. Pretty sure I could eat my weight in guac and be a happy camper. These little pre-made bites are perfect for when you’re in the mood to share your precious guacamole. They come together in a snap and disappear like magic from the plate. Make these for your next girls night, or dinner party and your friends will love you for it. :)

Guacamole Bites

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Total Time: 15 minutes

Serving Size: Makes about 30-40 bites

Ingredients

3-4 large avocados [ripened]
1 large tomato, chopped
1-2 tbsp chili garlic sauce
1-2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
salt + pepper

Instructions

  1. Start by cutting the avocados in half {#1}, cut around the seed. Then to remove the seed by pricking it with your knife {#2}. Once your knife is in the seed, pull it out {#3}. Then using your knife or a spoon, scoop out the avocado {#4}. Repeat these steps with all avocados. Place scooped out avocados into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Smash the avocados using a fork. Do this until you have a smooth-creamy mixture.
  3. Then add chopped tomato, chili garlic sauce, and the lemon juice. Stir until combined well. Season with salt + pepper to taste.
  4. Finally spoon guacamole mixture into the Tostitos Scoops and arrange on a serving plate.

Call me biased, but I think my guacamole is the bees-knees. The lemon juice keeps it from browning as well as making it light and fresh. The chili garlic sauce [my secret ingredient] adds the perfect spicy-kick with the robust-must of garlic. I use CGS for so many dishes because it’s like a one-stop-shop of ingredients. Cooking made simpler? Sign me up! Hope you enjoy these bites as much as my girlfriends did. 😉

What is the Brand name of the Chili Garlic Sauce and where do you buy it ? I couldn’t find at Giant Eagle in a variety of aisles but maybe I did not recognize it cause don’t know what looks like.
    Thank you. Peg. Loop
