So if you haven’t heard, it’s not warm. These sub-zero temperatures have everyone in a tizzy. I usually run the other way from tizzies, however this one is slightly understandable. Unless you’re living in New England, Alaska, some part of Canada or Siberia, you’re not used to such chilly temps. It’s quite an adjustment. When I have to wear two pairs of pants to go outside, that’s a good enough reason NOT to.
Luckily for most of us we have warm, cozy, comfortable homes that we can snuggle up in. Temps and times like these make me especially grateful and appreciative to have the tiny warm place I do. Forbes.com recently published this great resource that we can all use to help those in need struggling without homes. This time of year we need to really reach out and watch out for those needing assistance in our communities.
When the temp drops like this, my favorite place to get toasty is in the kitchen. A warm meal does the body/soul good. Here are a few of my favorites that do the trick and won’t damage any of those ‘get-healthy-fit-and-trim’ New Year’s resolutions.
